Amicie de Spoelberch, Leuven Belgium

The late Viscountess Amicie de Spoelberch was heir to the fortune of the wealthy de Spoelberch clan of Belgium. The de Spoelberch family are one of stakeholders in the world’s largest brewery firm, Anheuser-Busch InBev NV, with global headquarters in Leuven, Belgium.  Amicie de Spoelberch loved shopping, sewing, classical music and attending concerts. She also loved the choir and horseback riding. The late Amicie de Spoelberch married the late Luka Bailo, a successful entrepreneur of Serbian descent, on February 9, 2001. Prior to that marriage, Luka had two sons, Patrice and Alexis, whom Amicie adopted as her legal heirs. Since her marriage to Luka, Amicie de Spoelberch had agreed with her husband to reside in the Grand Duchy.

Their sons Patrice and Alexis de Spoelberch have successfully proven themselves to be skilled and savvy businessmen in the European business sector. They have made sizable and profitable investments in groundbreaking ventures, the latest of which is an at-home testing venture for the most common and deadliest ailments in the world namely, cancers and STIs.

On her part, the Viscountess Amicie de Spoelberch had enjoyed her own investments. The Viscountess de Spoelberch passed away in 2008, four years after her husband Luka’s passing.
